Unit 8: Producing and Evaluating Critical Writing: Part 2

Continuous from previous unit, this unit we have been taught to enhance our skills to produce and evaluate critical writing. As been explained previously, we have started our critical review for our assignment 3. This unit we are focusing to evaluating the critical review that we have done. But the trick is that we have to evaluate our friends’ critical review and whose at the same time have evaluated our own writing critiqued.

To make us more understand about the topic, another example of article has been given. Article entitle, “Drugs or guns” is used to make us understand on how to comment base on critical review. And we have been asked to apply the skills in our first draft for assignment 3.

On this unit also it had been provided with a box of guidelines to comment on the critical review. The criteria in the guidelines include the source been stated, audience, rhetorical function, purpose, perspective, positioning and impact.

For this unit, Mardiana, Ili Izlin Hanim and Tun Amirah Athirah has present on the critical review and the commentary. The explanation also has been helped by Sir Humam to make the point clearer.
